Samvaad: An Interactive Academic Session and Get Together of the Students of Philosophy
Students of BA III & BA II and Faculty Department of Philosophy organized “Samvaad”, an Interactive Academic Session and Get Together of the students of Philosophy on 15th March, 2022 at the Sociology Seminar Hall. The Programme engaged a creative dialogue through culture and academic on the relevance of philosophy subject in contemporary times and its training in helping human minds derive normative knowledge for a good life and good society. The event comprised talent hunt, cultural and academic performances by the students of philosophy. The students of first year were presented the hand-made cards by the second and final year students of the Department.

International Women’s Day: My Story
Celebrating International Women's Day, the Department of Philosophy organized a special talk by Ms Anjalika of MA Sociology final year. Anjalika shared her ideas on the title “My Story”. She shared her experiences from school and College life and how they have shaped her strong persona. She inspired the students to pursue education with zeal and committment. The session was attended by students and faculty of Philosophy department.

"Language, Philosophy and 'The Folk': Looking for the 'Meaning' of Gender
Celebrating the International Women’s Day, Department of Punjabi in collaboration with Department of Philosophy, PGGCG-11 organized a lecture on “Language, Philosophy and ‘The Folk’: Looking for the ‘Meaning’ of Gender”. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Ambuj Sharma of the Department of Philosophy. In his lecture, he presented a philosophical understanding of Gender and how it is constructed in the folk tradition across cultures. He informed that narratives written in language about Gender has provided a creative space for conceptual understanding of Gender and Gender justice. The lecture was attended by the students of the Punjabi Department of the College.
Library Orientation
The Department of Philosophy organized a library orientation visit of the Department students at the College Library. The Library Staff felicitated the students and informed the students about the functioning of the library. On the occasion College Librarian Mrs. Jay Bharati addressed the students on the role and significance of library in life of students. The faculty and students extended their thanks to the library staff.
