Under the able guidance and support of the College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Anita Kaushal, the Department of Philosophy, Post Graduate Government College for Girls, Scetor 11, Chandigarh, organized the Alumna Talk on 26.02.2021 at the online Goggle Meet Portal. Ms Harman Kaur, Student of MA II Year, Department of Sociology, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Ms Lovedeep Kaur, Student of MA II Year, Department of Political Science, Panjab University, Chandigarh were the key speakers of the Event. In the beginning of the session Dr. Ambuj Sharma, Head, Department of Philosophy extended a warm welcome to the alumna. Dr. Sharma informed the alumna about the progress of the Department and College. The first speaker Ms. Harman Kaur shared her experiences of the College life and time spent at the Department. She inspired the students to pursue their higher studies with hard work and dedication. Harman Kaur also informed the students about the various concepts and courses being offered by Department of Sociology at Panjab University. The second speaker Ms Lovedeep Kaur also narrated her beautiful experiences at the College. She said that “Department of Philosophy is unique in every sense as the course relates with the questions of human self, society and purpose of human life”. Lovedeep introduced students with some Greek philosophers and said that philosophy will be applicable in every discipline through its methodology. The students of the Department also shared their experiences on the occasion. Ms Tanvi Chauhan from B.A. II year proposed the vote of thanks.
